New Delhi: Two mild-intensity earthquakes hit Hampi and Jamshedpur districts in Karnataka and Jharkhand on Friday (June 5) morning, according to the National Center for Seismology.

Jamshedpur was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter Scale at 6:55 am today; whereas Hampi in Karnataka also experienced earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter Scale at the same time. 


The tremors prompted panic-stricken people to rush out of their homes.
