The protest march was led by party's state president and MLA Sat Sharma, along with MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma and state general secretary Ashok Kaul.

The workers were airing slogans against the Kerala government, asking it to stop the "mayhem".

The march began from Kachi Chawni and passed through Sabji Mandi, Purani Mandi and Bus Stand and culminated near the Press Club.

Sat Sharma, while addressing the workers, criticised the Kerala government for its "indifference towards ever increasing number of attacks on activists and their families affiliated with the BJP and RSS".

He said the Kerala government has "failed miserably" in defending democracy by not just "promoting the attacks, but also shielding the attackers".

Sharma condemned the policy of the CPI(M) government, saying it has made "barbarism as its mainstay policy".

The people of Kerala will oust the present government of Kerala for its "erroneous policies and jihadi terrorism", paving the way for the popular government of BJP in Kerala, he added.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said the nation is united over "failed policies" of the Kerala government and the "Jana Raksha Yatra" is being carried all over India to show solidarity with the BJP activists in Kerala.
