Darbhanga Lok Sabha Constituency, is one of 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in the eastern state of Bihar and cast its vote in the 2019 election on April 29.

Darbhanga registered 58.16 per cent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 2.69 per cent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1653471 while the total voter turnout is 961642. While in 2014, the constituency registered 55.47 per cent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1494897 while the total voter's turnout was 829214.


Abdul Bari Siddiqui of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Gopal Jee Thakur of Bharatiya Janata Party and Md. Mukhtar of Bahujan Samaj Party are some of the prominent names that will contest the Lok Sabha election 2019 from Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.



Voting for Lok Sabha election in Bihar was held in all the seven phases and counting will be held on May 23.

Darbhanga constituency covers six assembly segments –  Gaura Bauram, Benipur, Alinagar, Darbhanga Rural, Darbhanga and Bahdurpur.


In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Kirti Azad of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – won by getting a margin of over 35 thousand votes. He had defeated Md Ali Asraf Fatmi of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Azad had secured 314949 votes while Fatmi got 279906 votes.
