Palamu Lok Sabha Constituency, is one of 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in the eastern state of Jharkhand and will cast its vote in the 2019 election on April 29.

Palamu registered 64.24 per cent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 4.86 per cent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1877054 while the total voter turnout is 1205800. While in 2014, the constituency registered 59.38 per cent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1645075 while the total voter's turnout was 976800.


Anjana Bhuiyan of Bahujan Samaj Party, Ghuran Ram of Rashtriya Janata Dal and Vishnu Dayal Ram of Bharatiya Janata Party are a few prominent candidates contesting for general elections 2019 from Palamu Lok Sabha Constituency of Jharkhand. 



Votings for Lok Sabha election happened in 4 phases in Jharkhand – April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19 and the counting will be held on May 23.

Palamu constituency covers six assembly segments – Daltonganj, Garhwa, Bhawanathpur, Bishrampur , Chhatarpur  which is reserved for the members belonging to the Scheduled Tribes and Hussainabad.


In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Vishnu Dayal Ram of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – won by getting a huge margin of just over 2.63 lakh votes. He had Manoj Kumar of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Vishnu Dayal had secured 476513 votes while Manoj Kumar got 212571 votes.
