Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad was capturted on camera while arguing with a police officer in Latur district of Maharashtra during a protest over a non-functioning ATM.
Just few days back, Gaikwad was making the headlines for assaulting an Air India employee on March 23 after he landed here on a Pune-Delhi all-economy flight. Complaining about not being able to travel business class, Gaikwad repeatedly hit Sukumar with slippers when the latter went to persuade him to disembark after he refused to alight. Gaikwad later boastfully claimed on TV he had hit the official 25 times with slippers.
The Sena MP was blacklisted and grounded by all airlines.
However, Gaikwad later tendered a letter expressing `regret` over the incident to Civil Aviation Minister A Gajapathi Raju, AI revoked the flying ban, closely followed by Federation of Indian Airlines and other private airlines.
