New Delhi: A smartphone designed by Porsche. How cool is that? And it is reportedly priced over Rs 1 lakh.
One may find it hard to believe or it may fall hard on the ears but Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched a new smartphone designed by Porsche Design.
The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design (Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9) was launched in early November along with Huawei Mate 9.
The limited edition, designer smartphone will be available only Graphite Black colour variant and has been reportedly priced at USD 1,600 which converts to approximately about Rs 1.04 lakh.
Similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in design, especially the edge, the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design features a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) AMOLED display that gives 534 ppi pixel density.
It powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core SoC with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with the ARM Mali-G71 GPU and 6GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with an inbuilt memory of 256GB. There is no room for memory expansion and one would find it unnecessary considering the huge internal memory.
The single SIM smartphone is powered by a huge 4,000mAh battery with SuperCharge technology which charges the battery up to 58 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.
The phone also sports a 20MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie shooter and is expected to hit the markets in late December and eventually spread out in January 2017.
