Kia Carens will get multiple engine and gearbox options -
Engines: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo petrol
Gearboxes: 6 MT, 6AT and 7 DCT
In terms of design, the Kia Carens gets Tiger Face design at the front, highlighted intake grille, LED headlamps, and daytime running lights (DRLs), SUV-like side profile for a muscular stance and many Sonet inspired design elements including the tail light design.

As per Kia India, the name 'Carens' is based on the concept of 'Car + Renaissance' signifying the beginning of a new era of cars and introduction of a new segment for modern Indian families'.

The Kia Carens is the fourth product from the South Korean automaker following the launch of Seltos, Carnival, and Sonet in India. Kia Carens is priced between Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) and will compete against Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700. Among the variants of the Kia Carens, there are Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. It is available in both 6- and 7-seater options in India.
