Mumbai: Besides securing a landslide victory in Maharashtra municipal corporation elections 2017, BJP also won big in 25 Zilla Parishad and 118 Panchayat Samitis, results of which were announced on Thursday.

Here are the updates :-


-Out of total 1514 seats in Zilla Parishad, BJP has emerged victorious in 370 seats, NCP bagged 317 seats, Congress has won 277 seats, Shiv Sena in 240 and independents managed to bag 127 seats.


-In Parbhani Zilla Parishad, out of 54 seats, BJP is leading in 5 seats, NCP in 24, Congress in 6, Shiv Sena in 13 seats and others in 6 seats.


-In Chandrapur Zilla Parishad, out of 56 seats, BJP is leading in 33 seats, Congress in 20 and others in 3 seats.


-In Ratnagiri Zilla Parishad, out of 55 seats, Shiv Sena is ahead in 39 seats, NCP in 15, Congress in 1, BJP's poor show continues here.  


-In Beed Zilla Parishad, out of 60 seats, BJP is ahead in 20, NCP in 24, Congress in 03, Shiv Sena in 4 seats and others in 9.


-BJP is now leading in Nanded Zilla Parishad (63 seats) where it is leading in 13 seats, NCP in 10, Congress in 10, Shiv Sena in 10 seats and others in 2.


-In Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad, out of 50 seats, BJP is leading in 3 seats, NCP in 1, Congress in 27, Shiv Sena in 16 seats.


-For 60 seats in Buldhana Zilla Parishad, BJP is leading in 24, NCP in 8, Congress in 14, Shiv Sena in 9 and others in 5 seats.


-In Aurangabad Zilla Parishad, BJP is leading in 23 out of 62 seats, NCP in 5, Congress in 14, Shiv Sena in 18 and other parties in 2 seats.


-In Hingoli Zilla Parishad, BJP is leading in 10 out of 52 seats, NCP is ahead in 12, Congress in 12, Shiv Sena in 15 and others in 3 seats.


-In Yavatmal Zilla Parishad, out of 61 seats, BJP is ahead of others as it leads in 18 seats, NCP in 11, Congress in 11, Shiv Sena in 20 and others in 1 seats.


-In Jalgaon Zilla Parishad, BJP is moving strong in 33 out of 67 seats, NCP in 16, Congress in 4, Shiv Sena in 14 seats.


-In Latur Zilla Parishad, out of 58 seats, BJP is leading in 36 seats, NCP in 5, Congress in 15, Shiv Sena and other parties in 1 seats each.


-In Usmanabad Zilla Parishad, NCP strong in 26 out of 55 seats, Congress at 13, Shiv Sena at 11, BJP at 11 and others at 1 seat.


-In Vardha Zilla Panchayat, out of 52 seats, BJP has registered victory in 29 seats, Congress has grabbed 15 seats, NCP and Shiv Sena has won 2 seats each and the independents 4.


-In Pune, Shiv Sena has won 3 out of 4 seats of Pandharpur and Congress one. In Panchayat Samiti, Shiv Sena has emerged victorious in 6 out of 8 seats and Congress on 2.


-In Beed Zilla Parishad, Sharad Pawar-led NCP has won 24 seats, while BJP has won 20 seats.


-Gopinath Munde's daughter and Maharashtra government minister Pankaja Munde has offered to quit after losing all the Zilla Panchayat seats in Parli.


-In Ratnagiri Zilla Parishad, Shiv Sena is leading in 23 out of total 55 seats, NCP in 13, Congress and BJP in 1.


-In 52 seats of Hingoli Zilla Parishad, Congress is ahead in 6 seats, Shiv Sena in 6, BJP in 8 seats, NCP in 9 seats and independents on 1.


-Shiv Sena is said to be going strong in 23 seats in Ratnagiri Zilla Parishad;  NCP in 13, Congress and BJP on 1 seats each.


-Former minister Babanrao Pachpute's brother wins in Ahmadnagar Zilla Parishad.


-In Jalgaon Zilla Parishad, out of 67 seats results for 60 have been declared; BJP is currently leading in 29 seats, Shiv Sena in 14, NCP is ahead in 13 while Congress is leading in 4.


 -In Raigad Zilla Parishad, Aditi Tatkare, daughter of NCP state President Sunil Tatkare emerges victorious with 8858 votes.


-In Sangli Zilla Parishad, NCP is leading in 8 seats, Congress in 4, BJP in 10, Shiv Sena in 10, Vikas Aghadi in 2 seats and independent leading in 2 seats.


-In Buldhan Zilla Parishad, MP Prataprao Jadhav's son Rushikesh loses in Panchayat Samiti elections.

-In Nanded Zilla Parishad, Congress is ahead in 14 seats, BJP in 7, Shiv Sena in 6, NCP in 8 and independent in 1 seats.


-BJP state president Raosaheb Danve’s daughter wins in Jalna Zilla Parishad.


-In Parbhani, NCP leads ahead in 10 seats, Shiv Sena in 5, BJP 2, Congress 3 and independents in 1 seats.


-Congress loses in Latur. BJP emerges victorious in 16 out of 18 seats of Latur.


-In Kolhapur Zilla Parishad, BJP is leading in 4 seats, Shiv Sena is leading in 6, Congress is leading in 10, NCP is leading in 6, Swabhimani Sanghatna is leading in 2, Jansurajya Paksha in 2 and other independent candidates are leading in two seats.


-In Raigad Zilla Parishad, Shiv Sena ahead in 10, NCP leading in 5; Shetkari Paksha leads in 7, BJP leads in 3 and Congress leads in 1 seats.


-In Latur Zilla Parishad, BJP leads in 32 seats, Congress leads in 18 and NCP in 4 seats.


-As per the latest results, Congress has won 12 seats in Nanded Zilla Parishad.


-In Ratnagiri Zilla Parishad, Shiv Sena emerges victorious at 22 seats. The party wins all 7 seats in Sangameshwar, all 10 seats in Ratnagiri, all 4 seats in Lanja and 1 seats each in Khed and Dapoli.


-In Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad, Congress leads in 8 seats.

-Son of Shiv Sena MP Hemant Ghodse loses from Nasik Zilla Parishad.

Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samiti Elections – Quick Facts 


Out of the 25 Zilla Parishads, 11 Zilla Parishad voted on February 16 and the rest Zilla Parishads voted on February 21. 


In phase 1, a total of 855 seats were in play for Zilla Parishad polls and 1,712 seats were covered in the Panchayat Samitis poll whereas, in phase 2, a total of 191 Zilla Parishads and 382 Panchayat Samitis which included seats in Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts of South Maharashtra went to poll.
