Several trapped after building collapses in Mumbai`s Zaveri Bazaar
An under-renovation building in Zaveri Bazaar here collapsed on Friday afternoon, trapping 10 workers who were present at the time. Of them, seven have been rescued and search for the others is currently underway.
Mumbai: An under-renovation building in Zaveri Bazaar here collapsed on Friday afternoon, trapping 10 workers who were present at the time. Of them, seven have been rescued and search for the others is currently underway.
The four-storey building's back portion collapsed at a time when the entire structure was being repaired. Four fire tenders and police officials reached the spot and rescue operations were started immediately.
There have been no reports of any serious injuries so far.
