New Delhi: Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's 'Padmaavat' hit the theaters on January 25, 2018. The movie, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, had been surrounded by a lot of controversies and the release of the film had to be deferred owing to massive protests.

Ranveer Singh portrayed the role of Allaudin Khilji in the period-drama, Deepika Padukone essayed Rani Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor played Maharawal Ratan Singh.


Ranveer has been lauded for his brilliant portrayal of Khilji and the song 'Khalibali' from the film made fans go gaga over the actor.


In the song, Alauddin is seen with his gang making merry in an extraordinary manner. Ranveer’s beastlike built and wild dance moves, his monstrous avatar and unapologetic expressions steal the thunder and now, the making of this epic song has been unveiled. Ranveer took to Twitter to share the making of the song.

Sung by Shivam Pathak,'Khalibali'has been penned by A M Turaz and composed by Bhansali himself.


It was Ranveer's brilliant portrayal of Khilji that stole the show in the film and the actor has been widely praised for his performance.


Thrilled about the response on his role, Ranveer had earlier told IANS: "I took a big risk with this character and it's wonderful to see my gamble pay off. This kind of validation gives one the confidence to take bigger and bigger risks, challenge stereotypes and continue to push the envelope in the realm of mainstream Hindi cinema.
