Bengaluru: Due to violent protests over Cauvery issue in Bengaluru city, a number of users are curious to know if Karnataka state government has declared holiday on Wednesday.

According to latest reports, there was no official word on the holiday but curfew is still in force in several areas to avoid any untoward incident.

According to Bengaluru City Police's Twitter account, "Section 144 CrPC Is Imposed In Bengaluru City From 12-09-2016 to 14-09-2016. Strict action shall be initiated against miscreants."
