Patna: The new Bihar Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijay Chaudhary on Friday took strong note of members using mobile phone inside the House and gave a stern instruction to put the cell phone on "switch off mode" before entering.

"I have seen mobile phone of members ringing inside the house while proceeding is on. It looked very bad today when it happened during Governor's speech also," Chaudhary said before concluding business of the house for the day.


"Such incidents are against respect of the House," the Speaker said.


"We have to make arrangement either to keep the mobile phone of the members outside the house or else members should themselves ensure that cell phone is put on switch off mode before entering into the House," Chaudhary said resuming business of the House on departure of Governor Ram Nath Kovind after addressing the joint session of the two Houses.


Earlier, protem speaker Sadanand Singh had made a strong comment on some members clicking photograph from their mobile during oath taking function on December 1.


Later, talking to reporters Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared the Speaker's anxiety over use of mobile phone inside the House and stressed on strong ruling to enforce it.
