Raipur: Another name has been added to the list of 'responsible' people who care less about the drought condition affecting the whole country and waste water like it is available in abundance. This time it is Chhattisgarh Minister Prem Prakash Pandey who has wasted gallons of water to damp the roads for his daughter's wedding, reports claim on Friday.

As per reports, for the comfort of the guests who attended his daughter's wedding on April 27, Pandey directed the fire tenders to damp the roads to settle dust.

Meanwhile, as the minister faced flak for the same, BJP leader Shrichand Sundrani came to his rescue and told ANI, “It was a grand wedding which was to be attended by 1000 people. Water was used for drinking purpose not sprinkling.”

However, he further added, “One and half tankers may have been used for sprinkling, but our Govt serious and sees to it that water is not wasted.”
