A court exempted AAP MLA Bhavna Gaur from presence in the court during hearing in the case of alleged misrepresentation of facts about her academic credits.
New Delhi: The Dwarka Court on Saturday exempted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Bhavna Gaur from presence in the court during hearing in the case of alleged misrepresentation of facts about her academic credits.
The next date of hearing is March 19, when charges will be framed.
The court was hearing a complaint filed by lawyer Samarendra Nath Verma against Gaur.
The lawyer in his complaint stated that "Gaur had furnished different information about her educational qualifications in two affidavits she had filed before the Election Commission in 2013 and 2015".
According to the complaint, Gaur, in 2013, claimed to have passed the Class 12 examination, but in her 2015 affidavit she described herself as a Delhi University graduate, who also earned a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree from Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak, Haryana.
The complainant sought action against Gaur for offences under the Representation of the People Act.
