A senior official said this is for the first time that the Delhi Assembly will be bringing out a calendar, which will be theme-based, on its own.

"There is no picture of political leaders on the official calendar-2016, one wall calendar and another table calendar. There was no calendar earlier from the Assembly," the official said.

Till now, the Delhi Tourism Department released its calendar every year.

They further said that the Chief Minister will release calendar based on 'Heritage of Delhi' having pictures of native trees of Delhi.

"The pictures of native trees of Delhi aims to encourage plants to make the city more green," the official added.
