Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh was granted bail to Kejriwal on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 10,000 after he appeared before the court.

The court has now fixed the matter for further hearing on August 6, the outlook.com reported.

The court had summoned Kejriwal in February on a criminal defamation complaint filed against him under section 500 of the IPC.

The BJP parliamentarian had alleged that Kejriwal had defamed him during an interview to a news channel.
