Gurgaon is one such metropolis which has grown tremendously over the past decade and has come to be known as millennium city.

The victims of such crimes at most of the times try to avoid registering complaints at police stations fearing unfriendly cops.

In order to tackle the problem, the Haryana Police has decided to set up a special "women" police station in Gurgaon.

The police station will staff 26 women police officers.

The facility will start operations from Rakshabandhan (August 29).
