New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the three-day 3rd Asia Ministerial Conference on Tiger Conservation today in New Delhi.

More than 700 tiger experts, scientists, managers, donors and other stakeholders have gathered to discuss issues related to tiger conservation.


Since, Tiger population has decimated to non-viable level in some range countries, it has become a major cause for concern.


PM Modi began the conference by saying that, “India has a long standing and successful track record of protecting its tigers.”


He further added that, “Tiger conservation is a collective responsibility of Government of India and states. I also compliment state governments for their efforts.”
