Western Australia University likely to assist institute in Sindhudurg
Mumbai University Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Deshmukh on Saturday said University of Western Australia and Naval Academy, Goa, are likely to tie up with the proposed Sindhu Swadhyay educational institute in Maharhastra`s Sindhudurg district.
Thane: Mumbai University Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Deshmukh on Saturday said University of Western Australia and Naval Academy, Goa, are likely to tie up with the proposed Sindhu Swadhyay educational institute in Maharhastra's Sindhudurg district.
Deshmukh was in Konkan today to complete formalities of acquiring a plot for the institute in Talere village of Sindudurgh district today.
He said a discussion has already taken place with the Chief Minister of Western Australia and with Rear Admiral Monty Khanna of Naval Academy, recently, with regards to setting up of the institute and both the organisations have expressed willingness to extend cooperation in the process.
In sync with the development, Mumbai University has finalised two acres land in Talere village for the institute, which has been donated by Talere Panchkroshi Shikshan Prasarak Mandal through a gift certificate.
The registration of the land was done in the presence of Deshmukh and Mumbai University Registrar Dr MA Khan and others.
On this occasion, Deshmukh expressed his wish to make Modern College in the village an ideal institution and promised that the University will continue to work towards the goal.
