Goa RSS chief lambastes BJP govt, Parrikar for backstabbing Goans
In what may raise several eyebrows, Goa RSS chief Subhash Velingkar has criticised BJP government and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for backstabbing Goans.
Panaji: In what may raise several eyebrows, Goa RSS chief Subhash Velingkar has criticised BJP government and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for backstabbing Goans.
As per a report in Goa News, Velingkar has called Parrikar a man with ‘Muh mein Ram, Bagal mein choori’ (dishonest).
Velingkar, who is also Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch co-ordinator, recently distributed pamphlets state-wide, exposing double speak of the BJP on MoI issue by continuing grants to the Church-run English medium schools.
In a press note, Velingkar has quoted Parrikar’s speech which he had made in the Goa Assembly on 31st March 2011, as the opposition leader.
“Don’t ruin our future by giving grants to English medium private primary schools. The future will not pardon you. This decision would not preserve Goa as Goa. Its cultural and religious knowledge would be completely destroyed,” Goa News shares excerpts from the press note in which Velingkar quoted Parrikar.
Velingkar then launched a scathing attack at Parrikar, stating he is going against his own speech and continued the grants after coming to power while the BJP leaders are now justifying their reversal stand.
“Goans have been cheated once, now they will not fall prey to their attitude of Muh mein Raam, Bagal mein Churi”, the report quotes RSS chief Velingkar.
