Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday faced some embarrassment moment, when he was while taking stock of the situation in Rohtak.

Curfew was relaxed in Rohtak, the worst hit by the Jat agitation violence, as the CM visited to the town today.


Besides being heckled, Khattar was greeted with 'murdabad' slogans in Rohtak.


While addressing people in Rohtak, the CM assured of a probe to unravel the truth behind the violent agitation.


Meanwhile, officials said that traffic had been restored on the Delhi-Ambala national highway No. 1 (NH-1).


Hisar and Kaithal districts remained tense after members of Jat and non-Jat communities headed for a clash. Army and paramilitary forces remained on high alert in both districts.


Despite the BJP promising reservation for the Jat community in Haryana and assuring that a bill will be brought in the next session of Haryana assembly, Jat protesters had not ended their agitation in Rohtak, Hisar, Sonipat and Jhajjar districts.


The Haryana CM will head to the national capital to meet a high-powered government panel for deliberations on the Jat reservation issue later in the day.
