Nearly 1,000 pilgrims were stranded between Rudraprayag and Kedarnath road due to landslides caused by heavy rains at several places, official sources said on Saturday.
Most of the pilgrims from the Kedarnath shrine were stranded between the 14 km trekking route of Gaurikund and Kedarnath. Several parts of Chamoli district were also lashed by heavy rains disrupting the pilgrimage to Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib and bringing down temperature considerably, the reports added. Bureau Report
