New Delhi: If researchers are to be believed, active sun exposure may help in keeping the risk of heart disease away. As per a study, women with active sun exposure are believed to have longer life expectancy and stay away from heart-related diseases.

It is still not clear that which factor contributes to it and therefore, further research is required. Researchers meanwhile claim that Vitamin D which we get by sun exposure is a major contributor and another mechanism related to UV radiation could be the second one.

Another thing that has come up from this research is that avoidance of sun exposure could be a risk factor of the same magnitude as smoking.
