New Delhi: The AYUSH Ministry will launch a new weekly interactive programme this month on Doordarshan to popularise traditional Indian medicines among the masses.

Through the programme, named 'Ayushman Bharat', viewers will be able to interact with experts on various fields of traditional medicine.


"AYUSH Ministry is launching a new weekly programme on Doordarshan from March 28 starting at 6 PM," an official from Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) Ministry said.


In the first episode of the programme, AYUSH Minister Shripad Yesso Naik will brief the masses about the schemes, programmes and benefits of his Ministry.


"'Ayushman Bharat' as the title of the programme suggests aims at popularising traditional Indian medicines among the masses.


"Through this programme, masses will be able to have interaction with the experts of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy and people will be able to get solutions to their problems," he said in a statement.


The programme will be telecast in nine regional centres of Doordarshan as well in their respective languages, it said.
