United States said India`s decision to recall its High Commissioner from Pakistan and cut off rail and bus links are internal matters of the Indian government.
They are responsible for deciding what is in the best interest of the Indian people, State department spokesman Richard Boucher said. Boucher said “We have urged both India and Pakistan to avoid any further escalation of tension and remain focussed on fighting against terrorism.”
It is important for India and Pakistan to resolve issues between them through dialogue, he said. Boucher noted that US has listed both Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Toiba as terrorist organisations whose financial assets are frozen.
“We have noted that the Indian government has released information and evidence that links these two groups to the terrorist attack on Parliament.” Bureau Report
