New Delhi: The hairiest month of year is here because it's Movember! So, men have you kissed your razors goodbye? If you haven't yet, put down your razors, let your beard grow and proudly don that moustache!
You ask why? Because by embracing your hair, you raise awareness.
No Shave November or Movember is a month long journey in which the participant forgoes shaving/grooming for the month of November; men and women alike to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.
Men participate by the growth of facial hair to raise awareness of men’s health issues. This month supports men’s health issues such as depression in men, prostate cancer and other male cancers, and associated charities.
The #letitgrow hair rule is in solidarity with the cancer patients who lose their own. When you skip your wax, hair cut, or barber shop appointment, you can donate that money to the cause!
Movember raises awareness by encouraging men, whom are identified as "Mo Bros” to get involved and stop trimming/shaving their beards hence the name Movember or “mustache November.” It also encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
