America's Monica Seles advanced to the final of the Kiwi Open with a quick 6-1 6-0 win on Saturday over Australian Alicia Molik.
Seles, the top seed at the 140,000 tournament, made it look easy, hardly breaking a sweat as she stroked winners from the baseline. She will face unseeded Nicole Pratt of Australia in Sunday’s final at the newly refurbished Xianxia tennis centre.
Pratt beat Italian Rita Grande 6-3 6-4. Grande played more aggressively, frequently rushing to the net but her game was plagued with errors.
