Three day conference on cancer research from Dec 14
It will focus to foster translational research among academicians, scientists, medical professionals, young research scholars and graduate students in India and America.
Coimbatore: A three-day international conference on 'cutting edge science in Cancer Research' beginning here on December 14, will discourse on upcoming research in thrust areas of herbal medicine, cancer studies and nutrigenomics and explore the prospects of translation research in cancer studies.
The main objective of the conference was to explore translational cancer research perspectives and to identify collaborative partnerships in cutting edge science in cancer research, Dr P R Krishnakumar, chancellor Avinashilingam University for Women, the joint organizers told reporters here today.
It will focus to foster translational research among acdemicians, scientists, medical professionals, young research scholars and graduate students in India and America, he said.
The conference, in collaboration with Ohio State University, USA, will also facilitate the identification of complementary strengths between the participating research groups and to develop a strong collaborative plan for long-term interaction at the student and faculty levels between the university and Ohio.
Some 65 research papers on cancer will be presented during the conference and over 80 scientists and researchers will participate in the conference, Natrajan Muthusamy, professor, Medicine of Ohio State University, said.
