​New Delhi: ​Summer time is a season loved by many, detested by some. It comes with its own array of health-related problems. Some dread its effects on the skin, while others dread their hair health and many are afraid of its effects on their physical health.


Then are there are those, who experience fluctuations in their appetite. Most of the time, the common complaint is loss of appetite.


Many might feel that its a good thing and this will be a step further in their weight loss goals. But, that's not really the answer, in fact, this route might be causing you more harm than good.


It is important to eat well and eat healthy if you want to lose weight the healthy way and just for that reason and also to help you out, we have compiled a list of five such foods that will keep you cool and aid you on your journey toward weight loss in summers!

1. Strawberries:



Yes! The yummy fruit is first on our list because of its filling, low-calorie nature and also because they contain a healthy amount of omega 3 fats and cancer-fighting polyphenols. You can consume 70% of your daily requirement of vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants with just half a cup of strawberries. Oh and we can't forget how delicious they are!


2. Blueberries:



Another superfruit makes its way to the list and they are just so yummy! Improving blood circulation and fighting the free-radical damage caused to tissues and cells are two of the many USP's of blueberries. They are also low in calories and you can eat as many as you want without feeling guilty. A great way to enjoy them is adding them to your morning oatmeal or cornflakes.


3. Plums:



Again, low on calories and high in dietary fiber and vitamin C, plums are your go-to fruits for a healthy weight loss. Grab a pack of dried prunes if you feel hungry all of a sudden between meals. They also do a good job of suppressing the appetite!


4. Bell peppers:



A good source of beta carotene and antioxidants, bell peppers are also high on vitamin C content. Eat them in the form of a salad, minus the mayo, for a healthy and nutritious weight loss.


5. Mangoes:



A surprise entry, you might think, but it's true! The King of Fruits is dense with antioxidants, protein and omega 3 fats. They are super delicious and help bulk the meals up without causing any damage to our health. Although, they are to be eaten in moderation.
