Rajeev Bindal is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Nahan in the Himachal Pradesh 2017 Assembly elections. A medical practitioner, Bindal has served as minister for health and family in Himachal Pradesh government.

Prior to his political journey, Bindal served as a doctor in tribal areas of Bihar for three years. Following this, he built Himgiri Kalyan Ashram in Solan, providing free boarding and education to poor children.


In 2016, the BJP leader was suspended from Assembly for helping party MLA Suresh Bharadwaj occupy the chair of Himachal Pradesh Assembly speaker.


There is no criminal case against the leader.


Bindal was first elected as MLA in 2000, and got re-elected in 2003 and 2008.


He is contesting against Ajay Solankey of the Congress party.
