About 1.92 lakh public grievances related to central government departments are pending, majority of them for more than a year, the government said on Wednesday.
New Delhi: About 1.92 lakh public grievances related to central government departments are pending, majority of them for more than a year, the government said on Wednesday.
Of the total of 1,92,140 grievances, 1,13,911 are pending for more than one year, 22,145 for six months to one year, 27,695 for two to six months and 28,389 for less than two months, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
On an average, around 42,000 grievances are received every month on Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) and in the Prime Minister's Office.
Besides, some grievances are also received directly by the ministries or departments, other central government officers and state governments for which centralised data base is not available, he said.
