Endoring the views of the Gorakhpur MP, Swami said Yogi's views are not isolated, as there have been several books published in this regard.

"You see the issue of Yogi Adityanath expressing his view is not an isolated view. It is a view which has been reduced to books, there is a writer Christopher Hitchens, who has written a best seller book and if you go to Google you would get a lots of books about her," Swamy was quoted as saying by ANI.

Citing an example, Swamy said once a prominent crook, who robbed the pensions of middle class people in California was caught and a trial was taking place and Mother Teresa wrote a letter asking not to prosecute him, as he has given her millions of dollars to further the cause of Christianity in India.

"The judge responded that he was surprised that Mother Teresa was coming on his behalf, as he has robbed the pension of hard working people and in the name of Jesus Christ, asked him to return the money, so that relief can be given to the people," he said.

"That is how she was given a rebuke. Why would a religious leader write of a criminal?" he asked.

Yogi Adityanath, had earlier accused Mother Teresa of being part of a 'conspiracy to Christianise India'.

Meanwhile reacting to such reports, Abraham Mathai, former VC Mahatashtra Minorities Commission, today said, ''If Mother Teresa's goal was to convert people to Christianity, how come the numbers haven't increased?''

Mother Teresa's work is on even after her passing away, no conspiracy, he added.
