Interestingly, the fire cracker manufacturers seems to have taken inspiration from the ongoing power struggle in the Samajwadi Party and have offered 'Amar Singh phooljhari' and 'Ram Gopal mirchi' to burst this Diwali season.

The labels of these crackers are eye catching as they narrate the ongoing Samajwadi family drama in a unique way.

The label of 'Amar Singh phooljhari' also features Akhilesh Yadav, SP patriarch Mulayam and his brothers Ram Gopal and Shivpal. However, the picture clearly shows who is at the receiving end.

Similarly, the 'Samajwadi tag war' is another interesting cracker which appears in the local market in UP's Allahabad district. It has Shivpal and Mulayam on one side and Akhilesh and Ram Gopal on the other.

The local businessmen claim that these crackers have been designed in wake of growing public interest in recent events like surgical strikes and the turf war in Samajwadi Party.

"There is a 'Modi bomb' and 'surgical strike rocket' as well, which are in great demand," said Qadir Bhai, who has put up a stall in Anglo Bengali College in Allahabad.

While locals are enjoying this 'political diwali', such crackers have definitely added fun to the Diwali festivities.

Significantly, the demand for Chinese crackers has seen a steep decline according to the whole sellers.
