Now, Shiv Sena has planned to contest 300 seats in the upcoming UP Assembly Elections.


The party has already started shortlisting candidates for the UP 2017 polls, a report in TOI said.


Also, interviews of probables were held at the residence of Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire in Delhi.


"The party will be contesting in more than 300 seats and we have already finalised names of 30 candidates," Party media cell in-charge Vineet Chaudhary said.


Reportedly, Shiv Sena is aiming to make a dent in BJP's right-wing vote bank.
