He will hold meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and a number of other senior leaders.
Ramotar will arrive in Gandhinagar tomorrow.

India's relations with Guyana are warm and cordial. The presence of a large Indian diaspora in Guyana adds to the close relationship between the two countries.

"The visit will contribute to further strengthening and deepening the close bilateral relations between India and Guyana," the Ministry of External Affairs said.

Ramotar and Modi had a bilateral meeting in July on the sidelines 6th BRICS-UNASUR (Union of South American Nations) meeting at Fortaleza in Brazil in which they had reviewed bilateral relations.

The bilateral trade between India and Guyana in 2013-14 was USD 31.47 million.
