Kabul: An Indian woman, working with an NGO in Afghanistan, has been kidnapped in capital Kabul.

The Indian national, identified as Judith D'Souza, was abducted by the Taliban on Thursday.


Judith, who hails from Kolkata, was working with the Aga Khan Foundation and was kidnapped from outside the NGO office along with several others.


“All efforts are being made by Afghanistan authorities to secure the early release of Indian woman abducted in Kabul. The Indian embassy is in touch with senior Afghan authorities. The government is also in touch with the family of Indian national abducted in Afghanistan,” news agency ANI quoted sources as saying.
