J Dey murder case: Chhota Rajan to be produced in MCOCA court via video conferencing

New Delhi: Underworld don Rajendra Nikalje alias Chhota Rajan, who is wanted in 71 cases in Maharashtra, will be produced in a special MCOCA court via video conferencing on Thursday.
According to reports, a decision had been taken to produce him via video conferencing instead of bringing him to Mumbai in response to the production warrant against him in connection with journalist J Dey murder case.
The MCOCA court is due to hear the case and frame charges against Rajan today.
A Delhi court had earlier allowed the CBI to conduct hearing against Chhota Rajan via video conferencing, observing that the underworld don has serious threat to his life.
The central probe agency has booked Rajan and unknown public servants in a fake passport case on charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, cheating by impersonation, forgery of document under the Indian Penal Code.
Rajan is wanted in over 85 cases, ranging from murder to extortion, smuggling and drug trafficking. He has cases pending against him in Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and with the CBI.
The don, held by Indonesian Police on October 25, arrived in Delhi on November 6.
