Thiruvananthapuram: Former Indian cricketer and pacer S. Sreesanth, who is contesting Kerala Assembly Election 2016 on the BJP's ticket, on Wednesday said that his father was leftist till last month but now he is a BJP supporter.

Also, he said that he is confident of BJP's victory in the Kerala Assembly elections.


"Would like to bring about a lot of changes in the state if BJP comes to power," Sreesanth said.


Earlier, in the day, Sreesanth had put himself in the soup when he called Kerala a city. Twitterati immediately began trolling the BJP candidate, reminding him that Kerala is a state and not a 'city'.



The former Indian cricketer was recently indulged in a Twitter war with Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.
