In a series of tweets Lalu alleged that BJP and RSS are working on a plan to end quotas. The former railway minister said that 80% dalit and backwards of the country will give them a fitting reply on the issue.

Taking an aggressive stand on the issue, Lalu challenged the BJP and RSS for a fight over the issue saying that if they have had their mother's milk then they should throw a challenge by ending reservations.

Lalu's comments came after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat pitched for a review of the reservation policy, contending it has been used for political ends and suggesting setting up of an apolitical committee to examine who needs the facility and for how long.
