"Saw General VK Singh statement on being jobless. Well Minister I know how much work MoS in GOI have. With god's grace have much more work than that," Tewari tweeted.

Following the outbreak over Tewari admitting that the media report on 2012 troop movement was correct, Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh said that Tewari has not work these days.

VK Singh, the then Army chief in 2012, when the troop movement is said to have happened, quoted on Sunday, "Manish Tewari doesn't have any work now. I have written a book and I would ask him to read it. Everything would be clarified then."

Tewari stirred a controversy by saying that a 2012 Indian Express story on two military units moving towards the national capital, at a time when there was a standoff between the then Army chief VK Singh and the UPA government, was unfortunately true.

"It's unfortunate but yes the story was true. I was serving on the Standing Committee of defence. What appeared in The Indian Express at that point of time was unfortunately for this country was correct," Tewari has said.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party has asked Congress to publicly apologize for questioning the integrity of the armed forces.
