New time for ceremonial change of guard ceremony

New Delhi: The ceremonial change of guards ceremony will be held on Saturdays at 8 am till August 14, this year, Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Tuesday.

"The timing for the ceremonial changing of guard at Rashtrapati Bhavan from March 15 to August 14, 2016 will be from 8 am to 8.40 am. This spectacle is held every Saturday at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan and is open to the public," an official release said.

The 40-minute ceremony is a military tradition which takes place at Rashtrapati Bhavan every Saturday.

It takes place between 9 am to 9.40 am during August 15 to to November 14. Whereas, the ceremony is held at 10 am to 10.40 am between November 15 to March 14.
