New Delhi: Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party government have come up with several new initiatives, to be implementated this year.

According to Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai, the government will introduce a common mobility card this year which passengers can use to travel on both the Delhi Metro and DTC buses. 


Also, the minister said that to execute the project, Delhi government will first buy 3,775 e-ticketing machines (ETMs).


 


Moreover, the government will buy around 500 midibuses to ensure last-mile connectivity in areas with poor public transport facilities.


According to government officials, CCTV cameras and Wi-Fi will be installed on the buses of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) this year and tenders will be floated soon for the same.


 


As per the government's plan, 1,000 buses to be run under cluster system will hit the roads from April-May while 1,000 air-conditioned low-floor buses will start plying from August.
