Notably, no facility for submission of application with late fee is applicable in NEET-II.

An application fee of Rs 1,400 and Rs 750 needs to be paid by the general and SC/ST candidates respectively.

The CBSE added that as per the directions of the Supreme Court, left out candidates who could not register or appear in NEET-I (AIPMT-2016) or those having the apprehension that they had not prepared well, subject to submission of an undertaking to give up their candidature for NEET-I, can apply in NEET-II.

This test will be applicable for admissions to the All India Quota seats, State Government Quota seats where the State Government concerned so opts and Private, Management or NRI Quota seats in all Private Medical and Dental Colleges or any Private or Deemed University.

Earlier this week, President Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to two ordinances which exempted state government medical and dental colleges from Supreme Court-ordered single All India entrance examination NEET.

The states now have the option of either conducting their own exam or be part of the NEET to fill 85 percent of the Under Graduate (UG) medical and dental seats. 15 percent of the remaining seats will be filled through NEET route by all India counselling.
