New Delhi: The Lok Sabha witnessed uproar on Thursday after a verbal duel continued between the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs over BJP's Virendra Singh's controversial remarks.
Speaking during the discussion on drought, the BJP member, who represents Bhadohi Lok Sabha constituency, lashed out at the Congress for obstructing the Lok Sabha proceedings and said the party only wants the 'fair skinned' to occupy the Prime Minister's Office.
"I want to tell Rahul and Scindia that these rulers are born not just from queens but also from women who do menial jobs," said Singh.
Both Houses of Parliament have been witnessing adjournments for the past two days due to stalling by Congress as Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi were asked to appear before court in connection with the National Herald case.
