Vemula had committed suicide in Hyderabad University campus.

While joining the march for justice for Rohith Vemula in the national capital, the Congress leader said, “I heard President's address in Parliament. He spoke about the government's achievement but nothing on Rohith issue, what's happening in the universities. This is RSS' ideology. They keep speaking about what happened in the past. They don't talk about the future. Rohith was talking about the present and the future.”

“Rohith was trying to tell the nation that he was in pain and was being crushed and suppressed. Rohith wanted to fight for this country's good future, but RSS said it doesn't want to talk about future and will only talk about the past and if you (Rohith) don't relent, we will kill you,” the Congress leader said.

Rahul accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and RSS of trying to impose their ideology in every university across the country.

The RSS and BJP want to have only one school of thought in the country, Rahul said.
