Soil from grave of World War-I hero, Risaldar Badlu Singh, brought to India by BJP minister
Haryana Agriculture Minister O.P. Dhankar on Tuesday morning returned back with the soil from the grave of World War-I hero, Risaldar Badlu Singh from Egypt, as an attempt by the Haryana Government to honor the courage he showed on the battle-field.

98 years after Singh, a recipient of the Victoria Cross, sacrificed his life in Palestine as a solider of the British Indian Army during World War-I, soil from his cemetery will now be taken to his native village of Dhakla in Jhajjar district in Haryana this evening.
An official delegation from Haryana, led by Dhankar, had gone to Egypt to participate in a seminar on climate change.
The Manohar Lal Khattar led-BJP Government has also decided to paint Singh's name on a signboard at the entrance of his native village.
Dhankar, along with Indian ambassador to Egypt Sanjay Bhattacharyya and Haryana additional Chief Secretary Ram Niwas went to Helipolis War Cemetery in Cairo in Egypt to pay their homage to Risaldar Badlu.
