On microblogging website Twitter, Vijayvargiya described Rahul Gandhi as manhoos while referring to the Congress vice president's allegation against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in Lalit Modi controversy.

Rather than watering down his statement, the BJP general secretary took to Twitter on Saturday, this time to explain why he said so.

This is not the first time Vijayvargiya has made a controversial remark.

The Madhya Pradesh minister was in news recently for his insensitive remarks over deceased journalist Akshay Singh.
