"We shall resume four-hour transmission from tomorrow as restoration works in key equipment has been carried out," Director Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar Shabir Mujahid told PTI.

Mujahid said the programmes will be telecast through both terrestrial and satellite modes.

"The telecast will be from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The content will include six news bulletins -- in Urdu and Kashmiri -- musical programmes and current affairs programmes," he added.

Kashmir was hit by devastating floods in the first week of September, marooning wide parts of the valley including Srinagar city.
