Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed a one-man panel to probe alleged illegal appointments of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers in Doda district of the state.
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir government has appointed a one-man panel to probe alleged illegal appointments of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers in Doda district of the state.
"On the recommendations of State Vigilance Commission (SVC), government has appointed Joint Director Education Jammu as inquiry officer.
"He will identify all those responsible for making appointments of ReT teachers without advertisements and vacancies in Doda zone in violation of rules and initiate departmental and legal action against them," an official spokesman of SVC said.
The alleged irregularities came to the fore after hearing a complaint filed against ex-Chief Education Officer of Doda.
It was alleged by the complainant, Fida Hussain, that appointments were made without advertisements and vacancies in Education Zone Doda.
Allegations of illegal up-gradation and opening of new schools under SSA were also made by the complainant.
The matter was referred to the government, which appointed the probe officer today to look into the matter, the spokesman said.
