Now, Karnataka schools ordered to buy book highlighting Siddaramaiah govt`s achievements
In a classic example of sycophancy, the Karnataka government has directed all government and aided schools to buy and keep at least two copies of book named `Itta Guri, Ditta Hejje` in the library, which lists Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah`s achievements.

The book, which costs RS 300, has an essay by scholar Sa Shi Marulaiah called 'As I have seen Siddaramaiah'. It compares the incumbent CM with former CM D Devaraj Urs.
The chapters of the book lists Siddaramaiah's achievements, philosophy. It speaks about the simplicity and honesty of the Karnataka CM. Besides listing the society-oriented projects, Siddaramaiah has been referred to as a 'visionary for a healthy society'
The Opposition has come down heavily on the Congress-led government.
The Hindu quoted Jagadish Shettar, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly condemned the order and said the government should withdraw the circular. He would raise the issue in the upcoming Assembly session.
The 342-page book is published by Tumakuru Mahadevaiah, president of Karnataka Sahitya Vedike.
